The attic wiring should be protected and secured to ceiling joists or other wood structural supports. If you re working from the attic you can drop a weighted string down wall cavity then attach the wire to the string and pull it through. Then to the opposite action have one person feed the cables down through the hole to the destination while another person pulls the cable out from the wall. And use semi rigid wiring fish tape to pull your wiring down to your outlet location.

When you ve run all the wires up to the attic then bring each one to the hole that it has to feed down through. If you will need to fish wiring through a wall drill a hole through the wood plate in the attic only. Straighten about 12 ft. Thread the cable through the holes.

Protect the wall with a thin piece of cardboard etc. Attach the wire or cable to a fish tape or coat hanger using electrical tape and feed it into the hole until it reaches the opening at the other end. If the attic is your only access space for running cable you may find it necessary to cut another small hole in the wall surface high on the wall in order to gain access for drilling through the wall s top plate. Depending on what the wiring is for this may be go through the drywall to the ceiling for instance for new lighting or be farther down on a wall.

If drilling up through the ceiling expect to pass through a thin coat of plaster and 5 8 of sheet rock and 1 2 inch 1 3 cm of strapping to which the sheet rock is secured. This hole can be patched once the wiring work is completed. And while loosely guiding the bit with one hand apply even pressure with the other holding the drill while running it. Yes this should be corrected and it would be good to have the wiring and all the circuit connections inspected as well.
